Unfortunately, we saw a lot of reprimands for corner cutting and cutting the pit exit line at Valencia.

Consequently, we have decided to tighten the penalty thresholds:

• 4 cuts: reprimand
• 7 cuts: 1 position penalty
• 10 cuts: 2 position penalty
• 13+ cuts: larger penalty or DSQ.

Although this shouldn’t affect most of you, we hope this will make our league races even fairer. As ever, full details can be found on our Stewarding System page.

Do remember to put the rules app on your screen so you can see if you are about to get a warning. We review cuts on the replay so if you slow down after a cut we will remove it.

Also, a reminder that it’s helpful to use the same name in AC, TS and on our website. You can change your username here by clicking User Control Panel (on the right), then Profile > Edit. In the AC launcher it’s under Options > Profile.

As the SF15-T League gets underway this weekend, here’s a run-down of all you need to know for race 1.

Update: There are new versions of the AC FtF Rules App (v4.2) and AC SF15-T Skins.

Note our server configuration: 100% fuel usage, 150% tyre wear. Remember refuelling and DRS are banned.

We know there’s a lot of settings on the SF15-T car, so a brief noob’s guide…

1. MGU-K Re-gen: a higher setting means the batteries recharge faster but braking is more difficult.
2. MGU-K Deployment: affects how much electrical energy is deployed in each gear. Higher settings increase top speed, but use more battery and make the car harder to drive.
3. MGU-H Mode: currently Motor seems to be better.
4. Engine Braking: a higher setting makes braking more difficult but saves fuel. Setting “1” is broken.

Other tips:

• The KERS button temporarily gives you maximum ERS performance.
• Watch the rev lights on the wheel for changing gear. The engine performs worse above 11000 RPM.
• You will need to balance your regen and deployment settings to keep the battery level constant during the race without saving energy unnecessarily.

Replay : Test Race 1 - SF15-t - Nurburgring (605 downloads)

This week’s test race will be at the Nurburgring GP circuit with the SF15-T.

The event will be the same format as our league races – practice up to 20:30 CET, followed by practice starts, then 15 minutes qualifying and a 50% distance race.

Just click the attending button if you’re interested. With all the new gizmos and buttons we all need plenty of race practice before the league starts, so if you’re taking part in the league please come along :)
