  1. Phwoar – that was fun.

    Did a decent lap in qualification but I felt I may have cut the first turn so put a lot of pressure on to get a better one in and I was quite surprised to be front row.

    All seemed fine at the start then out of turn 2 someone nudged me and I went all squirrelly. I then was passed I think by the same guy at the hairpin. I didn’t even defend because I assumed it was bad form to pass in the braking zone having messed up the acceleration. Oh well I guess it’s not the 1950s anymore :) Anyway, that caused a cascade of being forced wide and off track and having to avoid an orange car that cut across me without being fully ahead etc etc and I was only half a dozen seconds or so off but miles down the field. Brilliant! A few extra people filled in the gap that I usually leave when I mess up the first lap.

    Then I made a mistake at 3 and clipped the inside kerb and spun. The reason, Bob, for my slow driving was I had done a spin so eased off as much as possible to not look like a knob and spin again with the hot tyres. I was soon back up to speed as I somehow ended up in the lead pack and we had a good scrap, although unluckily Magzire spun coming out of T1 on the last lap. Looked like my spin at 3, just catching the kerbs wrong.

    Anyway, great race – some good battles tonight!

  2. Too conservative at start and got stuck in traffic, but at least I was saving the ultras. According to logfile I collided with Pensionisti, but zero damage so it had to be tiny touch. Made ultras last 14 so I could finish the race on softs which were perfect, shoulda done 13-21.

    Highlight was great fun battle chasing the Dragon. 12 laps left, piece-of-cake, reeling him in like a drunkard. 7 laps left, why can’t I catch him? 4 laps – I still don’t get this, this guy is so consistent! Then finally last few laps his tyres started to go and I made a last ditch effort on the final lap to get past.

    Nice to have a few people on track again, means we finally have some work to do stewarding.

Maybe cause of formation lap i had a great start and everyone was a bit slow :) :) i went for the full acceleration as was on the outside part of the track though. but the joy didn’t last much as always, just 3 laps and the ultras have already gone and having lot difficulties. about the “crash” i didn’t touch you(bobby), was almost a meter behind, but guess the AC has more than that around the car programed to be called part of the car already :) My overall pace wasn’t what i expected after all that practice, but anyway had similar pace with Simon and had a battle with him, which could lasted till the last laps but he spun in last corner a few laps from the end.

  4. Weak Q,but still good race for me.Quite stable 1st stint,but then happened.In pitlane i hit a car(
    with im not supposed to)and I did not have a time to put a repair on time,and left on 2nd stint with broken front wing.In second half of 2nd stint,someone hit my back,and broke rear .Car was very hard to turn and needed to brake sooner than i wanted to,and losing time.On last laps i saw Jan just behind me,i let him pass,i did not want to have any more crashes and drove points till the end.But then he disappeared,and Paul made a mitake?(or so) that let me finish 2nd.This race had a very good moments!!!(3W twice i guess?),and hope to see you all on next(and further)race.BTW there is almost(or)nothing to do on stewarding.Great fun.

    • Don’t read too much into it, the more lag you get to the server the more erratic your steering will seem. The person who saved the video is the only one who will be 100% accurate.

    • Yeah, I was hoping it was that so I found a local replay and it’s not much better. It’s not a problem, it’s not like I’m shit with the tyres.

      Anyway, the comparison for the race will be interesting as there are a few corners with different lines available.
