  1. It turns off automatically as well

If you mean “how can I turn it off so I can go 150mph in pitlane?” that’s not what Bobby means. The pit limiter comes on and the car brakes automatically when coming into the pits, but you can still be going to quickly at the pit limit line. We have a check in the rules app to look for speeding over the pit limit line, but as it is difficult to pick out in Austin so you can drive in as fast as you like but you will be brought down to the pit speed limit

  2. Note that I am away Wednesday, but should be back for race. In the unlikely event that I’m not, y’all know the drill now.

  3. Boring for me until Amereto made a late pitstop and came out right on my rear bumper:)

Was looking forward to a similar run in with Oli on the last stint as well, that’s where it all kicks off on a one-stop :(

  4. I haven’t had the luck to do it Bob as I was AGAIN hit from behind during lap 1 while I was P2. Hence spin against the wall, wings damaged and 8 places lost. I’m really fed up! I overreacted with CMR after the hit and assume it. I certainly deserve a DSQ for next race but 2 race ruined (1 at lap 8, 1 at lap 1!). BUT please take appropriate actions against drivers unable to keep their distances. Also, again, raise that damage level. This will make people think twice before braking later…

    • I have to point out that raising the damage level would only make the problem worse.

Nobody brakes too late and hits the driver in front on purpose. Lap 1 where the cars are all bunched up is difficult for everyone, and a higher damage level won’t solve that. Drivers might be less brave but they will still misjudge braking points.

All it would achieve is to make those unfortunate incidents into race-enders. How does that help?

Everyone makes mistakes and what we care about is seeing the right reaction. That’s why we rarely give a penalty if you bump into another driver but are polite enough to wait for them.

Deliberately crashing into a fellow driver is not the right reaction.

  5. By the way, the least I can do regarding my behaviour after Cameron’s hit is to present him publically my sincere excuses. I will accept any sanction…

  6. Looks like we’ll need an extra steward for this one :)

Yeah, it’s still good to keep going especially when you have some pace – 5th place was still in the bag for you – but we’re all human!

  7. Yes bob you need an extra steward for this one. But you can make it simplier. My behaviour was not correct at all! So: No reprimand for CMR / DSQ for COTA & next race (+ reprimands if you judge not enough).
Just don’t wanna be banned as I really like your community… :/
Again, SORRY to CMR who is a very nice person and I think it really…
    My VERY BAD… :(
