Race: P3 till lap 8 when hit from behind at hairpin before spoon. Rear wing and suspension damaged. Unable to continue… I’m really p….. off as I think I had the pace for a possible podium.
too bad olivier! note that repairs are a lot faster now so it’s not such a long pitstop
There was also some lag – it will all get investigated by stewards:-

That was a terrific race, because it was so terrible! Had to do something during qually so only had time for one run and during that I ran wide at Degner 2 and tripped the short-cut so had to abandon and start from the back.
Had a ball fighting through the field – some good hard racing going on. Tripped over Olivier at the hairpin and lost yet more time waiting for him. Sorry about the touch Olivier. Lost some places so got to do more fighting. Quite a breathless race all round.
@coret3x: copy for the repair time but when you are P3, time lost to recover safely on track + time lost to join the pit because of the damages + time lost to repair and adapt strategy equal a DNF.
@BobbyDeacs: I didn’t know about the lag. FYI my ping was P:34ms which is better than the average.
@Storm_Could: Excuses accepted. :) Just know Suzuka is by far my favourite track where I have usually a very good pace. Certainly the race where I could have reached my best position. But that’s life…

Just watched replay,and i need to say sorry to someone i hit in 2:29 of replay.Was trying to avoid crash with car returning to the track and hit another car with my rear tyre.I barely noticed that hit and didnt realize the consequences of it,and thats why i didnt wait to give position.Im sorry,that was not on purpose.Guess in gonna lose position or two in race result.Ehh :(
On the plus side, zero contact throughout lap 1 “from anyone” is probably a first for us. The incident at 2:29 is quite complicated, a lot more to it than just your part.
