We are moving to the VRC version of the FW31 for this race. However, they have kindly provided us with a data file that replicates the physics of our current car mapped onto the new car. Please download the following:

• AC VRC Williams FW31 (v1.4) from RaceDepartment – if you haven’t installed it already.
• AC Williams FW31 Physics & Skins – our modified data file and some extra skins. Just merge the contents of the zip file with your current vrc_2009_williams_fw31 folder and the data.acd file will be overwritten automatically and the new skins inserted.

We will also be using the FtF rules app to monitor pit entry speeds. The pit entry at Monza is defined by the armco barrier in-between the track and the pit lane where the orange marshal precariously sits:

• If you are inside the speed limit (50mph/80kph) by the time you cross the line, you will receive no punishment.
• If you make a reasonable attempt at slowing down but just fail to do so, it will treated as a corner cut.
• No reasonable attempt will receive a reprimand “or worse”!

Spa – 22 Laps

Again we have no clear pit entry line defined, so the normal pit entry rules will NOT be implemented. You may speed in at will, although it’s close to impossible here without cutting over the grass – which is not permitted.

Can Spa live up to the action from race 1?

Important Note:- VRC have released a new version of this car on RaceDepartment. It installs as a different car, so the current car does not get overwritten. By all means, go ahead and download this car and do some testing BUT….WE WILL STILL BE USING THE SAME VERSION OF THE FW31 THAT WE USED LAST WEEK AT THE NÜRBURGRING FOR THE RACE AT SPA.

We will take a view on using the new VRC car (with or without KERS) for Monza.

We finally kick off for real with a return to the 50% distance race format :)

There’s an update to the rules app (we know you all love more downloads :P) AC FtF Rules App (v4.2) You must have it enabled and on your screen for the race.

PLEASE NOTE – THERE IS NO CLEAR PIT ENTRY LINE ON THIS TRACK FOR SOME REASON, SO WE WILL “NOT” BE MONITORING PIT ENTRY SPEEDS ON THIS OCCASION!!!!! LUCKILY, THIS IS A TRACK WHERE NO ADVANTAGE CAN BE GAINED BY SPEEDING, SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SPEED IN! WE WILL TEST THIS IN ADVANCE IN FUTURE

To clarify the pit entry rules:

• Speeding at the pit entry = 1 warning (equal to a corner cut)
• No reasonable attempt to slow down = a reprimand or worse.

You may wish to remind yourself of the corner cutting rules before the league begins.

Hockenheim – 40 Laps

For our final pre-season race, we will be trying out a 60% F1 race distance as suggested by a few drivers after last season. Fuel consumption has been adjusted correspondingly.

• A new version of the AC FtF Rules App (v4.2)

The pit speed limit will now be monitored by the rules app, so you should uninstall the ACRL pit app if you downloaded it last week.

For our first pre-season race you will need the following downloads:

• The latest public version of the FW31 car: AC VRC Williams FW31 (v1.4)
• A physics update: AC Williams FW31 Physics & Skins
  We owe many thanks to misterbeam, the current developer, for all his hard work in turning our suggestions into a great league car. This is the basis of the upcoming public version 1.4 of the mod.
• The ACRL pit lane app, created by MegadetH_44: ACRL Pit App (v3.1)

We will be testing the pit app as a means of enforcing the 80km/h pit entry speed limit.

The tyres allowed in this race will be softs, mediums and hards. No restrictions on race strategy. We haven’t decided yet what tyre rules to adopt for the league.
