That was intense! On the outside of Emil on lap 1 going up Kemmel but I got a tap from behind and because I was finely balanced on turn in I pitched into a spin. That was no problem until I looked right and saw someone who wasn’t going to be able to avoid me and wallop!
Pitted on lap 1 with body and suspension damage and went to the SS, so a 2 stop strategy. Absolutely flying, but coming from the back of the pack I only overtook two guys, the rest were recovering from spins, so not as much fun as one might imagine :)
Nearly caught Emil, but he drove a great race on the wrong tyre so grats on a great drive.
That was me, Sorry I was doubting the go left or right but we both had the same idea at some point it seemed in the replay.
I didn’t go into the pits til I changed for tyres. Pretty sure I messed up not letting my wings getting fixed(don’t know how much of a difference it makes). The third sector was always a mystery for me as even in practice I would be a 0.8 secs behind most of u while it’s only a long straight and a chicane.
Also wanna appologise to dragon as I gave him a bump on the kemmel straight, I wasn’t aware at the speed he was catching me with in the first lap.

although it is the best track for a lot drivers, me for a lot reasons couldn’t get a good pace in here, run on 1.49-1.50 all the race. fortunately managed to get pass untouched the collisions on first lap, (thanks to bobby for advising always to anticipate :) ) . Had some battles with my team mate, bit not as hard ones as it was between team mates, others was advantages taken from spins as storm_cloud said. overall happy with it, as didn’t expect to do better in here.
OK quali, surprised to get 4th place from it though. Looked after myself at La Source then cashed-in on Storm’s misfortune at Les Combes. Tried to hang onto Emil, but hopeless cause. Still on wings from Monza (13-5) and I’m thinking that was too low as I was getting reeled-in on the fast corners. So from then on it was survival mode – see some good laps out of ultras and go for it on supers.
Had good tortoise-hare race with not_weeb, already made up my mind that anyone who came up from that far behind was going past in all but the last few laps. He was close then disappeared twice and not too far behind at the end as well, but his final chase was a couple of laps too late.
Pleasing race, just wish like Pensionisti that I had a bit more pace.
