There are 2 DRS zones. The track map is not correct.
I got rid of the one on the start-finish straight Oli, Cameron said it was too dangerous going into a flat-out corner and I agree. The game takes the DRS zones file from the server by-the-way and overrides the file you have on your hard drive.
Ok Bob thanks. BTW you just need to lift off a tiny before T1 and there is no problem. That way it seem to be a sole driver opinion. Maybe the drivers need to be informed officially or did I miss something? ;)
I had no problem to drive T1 flat out, you have to get the car tuned a bit Bob ;-) On my sidekick app i saw that DRS close automatically before corner.
It’s easy flat-out unless softs are getting too hot. I think what Cameron meant is 2-into-1 here flat-out doesn’t go. DRS does close automatically at the end of the zone and also as soon as you are pulling more than 4G.
Sorry to be so touchy but isn’t it a fair racing community? ;) :D
real life F1 dont have DRS into a fast corner like that. Look at 130r. So it is silly to do this :P its a flat out corner with 300kph. that doesnt exactly seem like it will end well :D
Apart from Suzuka! OK c1 isn’t quite flat-out.
I think possibly Oli thinks I’ve taken a DRS zone away from the original track, which of course I shouldn’t do, but in this case it’s the other way around – I added the DRS zones in on top of a track that had none.
I think the map informs rather well.
Ok I understand now. Sorry guys. Clear&cut now ;)
Thanks for clarification. I thought it was DRS zones by default on the track.
LOL…
Actually sick at home (flu). I will see if I’m better on WED.
99.9% sure I can’t make it tonight, apologies for short notice.
I’m still sick. Can’t join either. Sorry for that guys but I feel so bad…
As the grid will be very light may I propose to postpone the calendar and make RA next week?
I do have a rule that the show goes on regardless, but if we only have a few drivers then we will postpone. 7 is probably an acceptable number.
Some nasty viruses doing the rounds at the mo!
Yeah my computer also caught one lol :-)
Yeap very bad here. I would be pleased if you decide to postpone tbh.
A bit of me was dreading this race (this is a big departure from the standard Tilke F1 track), but surprisingly only 3 collisions to look at for the stewards in the whole race, so hats off to everyone for that.
My race – very conservative in both driving and strategy and that probably cost me one place – but who knows!
Hopefully it’s too early for you to invoke team orders, as you’re ahead in the table :P
