Season 7 of the F25 League is HERE! (closed)

Hello everybody, welcome to a new F25 season of Codemasters F1 2014!

Just as promised we will start a new F25 league, this being season 7. With previous champions such as Mystro, Scottydog69uk and MinedPolecat34 competing as well, this promises to be a great season. To no one’s surprise, we’ll be racing in Codemasters’ new F1 2014 game. This game brings a new challenge and maybe even some new glories. We at Flag-to-Flag are looking forward to a new season of spectacular overtakes, amazing battles and most of all, a load of fun and fair racing.

As per usual for the F25 league, we will allow all assists that are available in the game. That said, we strongly recommend that drivers don’t use the braking, steering or pit assists – for obvious reasons these may lead to unnecessary collisions.

To sign up, just post a comment on this article. In the F25 you can choose your teammate and team name. Once you have a teammate, you should give 3 preferences for which car you will drive (a 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice). Try to arrange a team before you sign up, so you can give us your team name and car preferences all at once. If you sign up without a teammate, we will fix you up with a fellow driver in an available car (note that teams have priority for choosing cars).

Below are the Race Settings and our race Calendar.

  • 15 minutes Qualifying
  • 25% Race
  • Dynamic Weather
  • Assists: Allowed

Thanks for reading this post and we hope to see you on track in Australia!

Best regards,

F25 Try-out : Canada, Germany & Brazil

Hello guys,

This Saturday we will be holding a test event for our F25 league, which is due to commence the following Saturday 1st November. We will be racing at Canada, Germany and Brazil.

As some of you may know, MinedPolecat34 has suggested a different format for the F25. In the past we had 15 minutes qualifying before each race, but we’d now like to try a one-shot qualifying setup. The idea is to spend more time racing and less time waiting around in the garage! Since this will free up 10 minutes before each race, we will also try to hold 3 races in an evening rather than 2, with the normal 10 minute break between races.

Otherwise the standard F25 rules will apply: all assists allowed, dynamic weather, safety car off.

See you on the track!

F1 2014 Launch

Hi all :)

After a great summer break, which we filled up with Grid Autosport, CoD2, Sniper Elite and other some other non-racing nonsense, we are all excited for the release of Codemasters’ F1 2014.

Our impression is that this is a somewhat upgraded version of F1 2013 with horrible sound effects ;P. Nonetheless, we are looking forward to a new FtF League season and battle for the championships with all the other members.

We plan for our F25 season to start on Saturday, 1st November. Sign up posts will be set up shortly.
We also intend to set up a F50 league, however the race day will be decided by popular demand – so let us know if you are interested.

GRID – Sprints with Streets & B’s

For our first official GRID Autosport event, we thought we’d try out some slightly different cars and tracks. So we’re going to do 3 sprint mini-series:

  1. Street cars at street circuits: there’s 6 street circuits in the game, most of which we’ve hardly driven, so let’s do some short races in a variety of road-going cars there.
  2. Formula B @ F1 circuits: these open-wheel cars are a bit trickier to handle than the Formula C. Let’s try them out at some F1 tracks, past and present.
  3. Category B @ Touring circuits: again, the B cars offer a bit more power and challenge than our usual Category C tourers. We’ll do some races at the shorter circuits more designed for touring car racing.

Here’s the plan:

Round 1: Street Cars, Coupe

  • Chicago – Wabash Run – 4 laps
  • Dubai – Nakheel Vista – 4 laps
  • Barcelona – Marine Gate – 3 laps
  • Paris – Circuit de la Seine – 3 laps
  • Washington – Sprint Circuit B – 3 laps
  • San Francisco – GP – 2 laps

Round 2: Open Wheel, Formula B

  • Red Bull Ring – GP – 4 laps
  • Sepang – GP – 3 laps
  • Yas Marina – GP – 3 laps
  • Istanbul – GP – 3 laps
  • Spa – GP – 3 laps

Round 3: Touring, Category B

  • Brands Hatch – GP – 4 laps
  • Mont-Tremblant – GP – 3 laps
  • Autosport Raceway – Infield – 3 laps
  • Indianapolis – GP – 3 laps
  • Hockenheim – GP – 3 laps

Have fun everyone :)
